GREAT place to stay for the time I needed. W/D on site (hard to find even in long term rentals in SD). 4 stars on a few things: the photos sent for check in were dated and parking was difficult. Alan and the team quickly resolved this issue when asked for clarification. If you arent a local, Imperial Beach can be a little sketchy. This location (usually anything west of 13th St) is usually pretty safe. Patrol helicopters did frequent the area.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!!! I was there with my two children and we felt safe and comfortable. It has all of the amenities you need for a home away from home feel. It is such a cozy place close to shops and restaurants. I would recommend 10 out of 10 for small families or a cute couples get away or even a solo retreat.
Overall: Comfortable, easy one-month stay for a digital nomad and I’d stay again. It worked well as a live/work base and felt practical for an extended stay. Unit: Small 1BR in a split home (front/back) set up well for longer stays. Kitchen stocked for basic cooking, laundry worked reliably, smart TV works, and Wi-Fi was strong enough for video meetings. Layout is simple and functional. Some furniture is worn, but the unit was clean and I had no hygiene concerns. Neighborhood: Central east Imperial Beach in a suburban, highway-adjacent area with chain stores and services nearby. Felt safe with normal residential activity and people walking dogs. Easy access to main roads and consistent street parking. I had initial concerns about Imperial Beach pollution but didn’t experience issues at the unit. Hosts: Professional management team that was responsive and proactive. When the unit needed items to be functional, they ordered them quickly without debate and didn’t cut corners.
